Invitrogen
Description: This 49-H4 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly-6D, which is also known as ThB. This member of the Ly6 family of GPI-anchored cell surface glycoproteins is expressed on thymocytes and splenic B cells. Moreover, common lymphoid progenitor cells that express Ly-6D have been shown to commit to the B cell lineage. Expression of Ly-6D has also been associated with Rag-1 expression along with a reduced ability to differentiate into T or NK cells. Finally, reports indicate that the level of Ly-6D expression varies in different mouse strains.^M

Applications Reported: This 49-H4 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.^M

Applications Tested: This 49-H4 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.125 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.^M
