PA5-27915 targets Monoglyceride lipase in WB and IHC (P) applications and shows reactivity with Human, rat, and mouse samples.
The PA5-27915 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 36 and 303 of Human Monoglyceride lipase.
Monoglyceride lipase (MGLL; EC 22.214.171.124) functions together with hormone-sensitive lipase (LIPE; MIM 151750) to hydrolyze intracellular triglyceride stores in adipocytes and other cells to fatty acids and glycerol. MGLL may also complement lipoprotein lipase (LPL; MIM 238600) in completing hydrolysis of monoglycerides resulting from degradation of lipoprotein triglycerides (Karlsson et al., 2001 [PubMed 11470505]).
