PA5-27713 targets NIK in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-27713 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 213 of Human NIK.
This gene encodes mitogen-activated protein kinase 14, which is a serine/threonine protein-kinase. This kinase binds to TRAF2 and stimulates NF-kappaB activity. It shares sequence similarity with several other MAPK kinases. It participates in an NF-kappaB-inducing signaling cascade common to receptors of the tumour-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family and to the interleukin-1 type-I receptor.
