PA3-300 detects neurotensin receptor NTS2 from human samples.
PA3-300 has been successfully used in Western blot and immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~55-60 kDa protein representing NTS2 receptor.
The PA3-300 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues P(381) Q S P T L M D T A S G F G D P P E T R T(401) of human NTS2 receptor.
NTS2 is one of the G coupled protein receptors that mediates Neurotensin. The receptor is located in the plasma membrane and present on all target cell. It is rarely detected in human tumors. This is the first localization of NTS2 receptors in human formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues at the cellular level.
