OBFC1 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Anti-OBFC1 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA503274) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY OBFC1(RC200778).

OBFC1 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY OBFC1 (RC200778, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-OBFC1. Positive lysates LY410967 (100 µg) and LC410967 (20 µg) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

OBFC1 Antibody in Flow Cytometry (Flow) — HEK293T cells transfected with either RC200778 overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-OBFC1 antibody (TA503274), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

Target Information

OBFC1 is a component of the CST complex, a complex that binds to single-stranded DNA and is required to protect telomeres from DNA degradation. The CST complex binds single-stranded DNA with high affinity in a sequence-independent manner, while isolated subunits bind DNA with low affinity by themselves. In addition to telomere protection, the CST complex has probably a more general role in DNA metabolism at non-telomeric sites.
