PA1-32149 detects Osteopontin from canine, porcine, human samples. PA1-32149 recognizes the full length osteopontin protein, approximately 66 kDa, as well as the C-terminal fragments of both trormbin and MMP-cleaved OPN. The antibody only recognizes the 32 kDa MMP-cleaved C-fragment, but not the 40 kDa N-terminal fragment.
PA1-32149 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue), Western blot, and ELISA applications.
The PA1-32149 immunogen is: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues CKSKKFRRPDIQYPD.
Osteopontin is an arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD)-containing glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and CD44 as major receptors. OPN is multifunctional, with activities in cell migration, cell survival, and inhibition of calcification.
