PA1-30126 detects Mouse Albumin from mouse samples.
PA1-30126 has been successfully used in Western blot & ELISA applications.
The immunogen for PA1-30126 was created by immunizing goats with mouse albumin. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, the goats were bled and serum collected. The antibodies were immunoaffinity purified and conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Serum albumin, a globular unglycosylated protein of 65 kDa, is the main protein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to give the secreted albumin.
