Western blot was performed using PDE3B Recombinant Rat Monoclonal Antibody (SMCP3B) (Product # 740069T) and ~124 kDa band corresponding to PDE3B was observed in 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiated cells as compared to undifferentiated 3T3-L1 cell line, which is reported to have low PDE3B expression. Recombinant rat monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Recombinant antibodies are produced using specific genes that code for the desired antibodies. These genes are cloned into an expression vector and expressed in vitro. The advantages of recombinant antibodies include better specificity and lot-to-lot consistency.
Applications Tested: This SMCP3B antibody has been tested in western blot and immunoprecipitation in 3T3-L1 Adipocyte differentiated cells. It can be used at 1 µg/mL in western blot and 10 µg in immunoprecipitation.
This antibody may result in detection of non-specific bands in western blot application along with the band of interest.
It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
Target Information
Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual-specificity for the second messengers cAMP and cGMP, which are key regulators of many important physiological processes. May play a role in fat metabolism. Regulates cAMP binding of RAPGEF3. Through simultaneous binding to RAPGEF3 and PIK3R6 assembles a signaling complex in which the PI3K gamma complex is activated by RAPGEF3 and which is involved in angiogenesis.
