MA5-15797 targets PDK1 in FACS, IF, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human, Non-human primate, and Rat samples.
The MA5-15797 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human PDK1 expressed in E. Coli.
MA5-15797 detects PDK1 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 44kDa.
Pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) is a mitochondrial multienzyme complex that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and is one of the major enzymes responsible for the regulation of homeostasis of carbohydrate fuels in mammals. The enzymatic activity is regulated by a phosphorylation/dephosphorylation cycle. Phosphorylation of PDH by a specific pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK) results in inactivation.. Tissue specificity: Expressed predominantly in the heart.
