Immunohistochemical analysis of PNPLA3 / Adiponutrin in paraffin embedded Human Skin tissue. Steamed antigen retrieval was performed with citrate buffer pH 6, followed by application of the PNPLA3 / Adiponutrin antibody (Product # PA5-18901)(3.8µg / ml) and AP-staining.

The protein encoded by this gene is a triacylglycerol lipase that mediates triacylglycerol hydrolysis in adipocytes. The encoded protein, which appears to be membrane bound, may be involved in the balance of energy usage/storage in adipocytes.
