Western blot analysis of Phospho-MeCP2 pSer421 in mouse whole brain using a Phospho-MeCP2 pSer421 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-35396). Results show a band at ~55kDa. Immunolabeling is greatly reduced by preadsorption with the phospho-peptide used as antigen (lane 2), but not by the corresponding dephospho-peptide (not shown).

DNA methylation is crucial for normal embryonic development, imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation.
