Immunohistochemical analysis of Phospho-Myosin, Light chain pSer20 in a variety of tissues including multi-human, multi-brain and multi-cancer slides using a Phospho-Myosin, Light chain pSer20 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-26470) at a dilution of 2.5 µg/ml. This image shows strong staining of both vascular and myometrial smooth muscle cells of the uterus. Tissue was formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded. The image shows localization of the antibody as the precipitated red signal, with a hematoxylin purple nuclear counterstain.

PA1-26470 detects Myosin light chain (phospho S20) from human samples. PA1-26470 is expected to cross react with all mammals and birds due to 100% sequence homology.
PA1-26470 has been successfully used in Western blot, IF, ICC, IHC (P) and ELISA procedures.
The PA1-26470 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues K(12) K R P Q R A T (pS) N V F A M F D(27) of the human Myosin Light Chain protein.
Myosin is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein. It is composed of two heavy chains, two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. This gene encodes a myosin alkali light chain expressed in fast skeletal muscle. Two transcript variants have been identified for this gene.
