Plexin-A1 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunocytochemistry analysis of Plexin-A1 in immersion fixed immature human dendritic cells. Samples were incubated in Plexin-A1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47612) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell surfaces and cytoplasm.

Plexin-A1 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Frozen) (IHC (F)) — Immunohistochemical analysis of Plexin-A1 in immersion fixed frozen sections of embryonic mouse spinal cord. Samples were incubated in Plexin-A1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47612) using a dilution of 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).

Plexin-A1 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of Plexin-A1 in mouse embryonic heart tissue. Samples were incubated in Plexin-A1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47612) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for Plexin A1 at approximately 200 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) Plexin A2 and rmPlexin A3 is observed.

Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.

Target Information

Coreceptor for SEMA3A, SEMA3C, SEMA3F and SEMA6D. Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin. The plexin modulates the affinity of the complex for specific semaphorins, and its cytoplasmic domain is required for the activation of down-stream signaling events in the cytoplasm. [UniProt]
