MA1-25051 detects Prolactin from human samples.
MA1-25051 has been successfully used in ELISA, immunohistochemistry (frozen), immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and radioimmune assay procedures. This product does require antigen retrieval using heat treatment (1mm EDTA, pH 8.0, is recommended) prior to staining of paraffin sections.
The MA1-25051 immunogen is a proprietary sequence.
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Prolactin (PRL) is a pituitary hormone involved in the stimulation of milk production, salt and water regulation, growth, development and reproduction. PRL exerts its influence on different cell types through a signal transduction pathway which begins with the binding of the hormone to a transmembrane PRL receptor.
