PA1-4119 detects RFX-B in human samples.
PA1-4119 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~40 kDa protein representing RFX-B in Raji lymphoblastoid cell line.
The PA1-4119 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues A(18) S E L G D P E D P G E E A C(31) of human RFX-B.
RFX-B is the gene responsible for the bare lymphocyte syndrome (BLS) which is characterized by a lack of MHC class II transcription. Subsequently, there is a lack of B and T cell responses to foreign antigens. RFX-B is a MHC class II transcription factor that is defective in BLS.
