Immunofluorescent analysis of RPA32 showing staining in the DNA damage foci of HeLa cells. 2mM hydroxyurea treated (right) or untreated (left) HeLa cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min and stained using a RPA32 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA1-23284) diluted at 1:1000. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining. Scale bar = 10µm.

MA1-23284 has been successfully used in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot procedures.
MA1-23284 immunogen corresponds to Full-length human RPA-32 expressed in E. coli..
Replication Protein A (RPA) is a single-stranded DNA binding protein. Human RPA is a heterotrimeric protein containing subunits of 70, 32 and 14 kDa. This protein complex is highly conserved in eukaryotes and is essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination and nucleotide excision repair. RPA has been shown to be a target for DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) ataxia telangiectasia-mutated gene (ATM) and a cyclin dependent protein kinase. The middle subunit, RPA-32, is phosphorylated during the S-phase of the cell cycle, in response to DNA damage and during apoptotsis of Jurkat T- lymphocytes.
