PA1-318 detects isoforms 1 and 2 of RUNX3 protein from human samples.
PA1-318 has been successfully used in Western blot applications. By western blot this antibody detects a doublet (bands at ~43 and 45 kDa) representing the two know isoforms of the RUNX3 protein from Raji nuclear extract.
The PA1-318 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues T(205) K P F P D R F G D L E R L R M R(221) of human RUNX3. The synthetic peptide (Cat. # PEP-292) can be purchased for use as a neutralizing agent.
RunX proteins are thought to be involved in lineage specification of CD8 T cells. These proteins, especially RUNX3 can provide critical insight for understanding the mutually exclusive expression of coreceptors in mature thymocytes.
RUNX3 is believed to be a key regulator of CD8 T cell generation.
