MA5-17179 targets SPIB in FACS, ICC, IHC, IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples.
The MA5-17179 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human SPIB (amino acids: 200-252) expressed in E. Coli.
MA5-17179 detects SPIB which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 28.8kDa.
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator that binds to the PU-box (5'-GAGGAA-3') and acts as a lymphoid-specific enhancer. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
