SYNM Antibody (A305-468A-T) in IP
Detection of human SYNM by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SYNM antibody A305-468A (lot A305-468A-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. SYNM was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SYNM antibody A305-413A. For blotting immunoprecipitated SYNM, A305-468A was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
Type-VI intermediate filament (IF) which plays an important cytoskeletal role within the muscle cell cytoskeleton. It forms heteropolymeric IFs with desmin and/or vimentin, and via its interaction with cytoskeletal proteins alpha-dystrobrevin, dystrophin, talin-1, utrophin and vinculin, is able to link these heteropolymeric IFs to adherens-type junctions, such as to the costameres, neuromuscular junctions, and myotendinous junctions within striated muscle cells.
