PA1-18271 detects Sequestosome 1 from human samples. This antibody is expected to cross react with mouse, rat, and bovine Sequestosome 1, due to sequence homology.
PA1-18271 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western blot procedures.

After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20°C for a higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
Reconstitute with 100 ul of distilled water. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.
Sequestosome 1 is an adapter protein which binds ubiquitin and may regulate the activation of NFKB1 by TNF-alpha, nerve growth factor (NGF) and interleukin-1. Sequestosome 1 may play a role in titin/TTN downstream signaling in muscle cells, and may regulate signaling cascades through ubiquitination. Additionally, Sequestosome 1 may be involved in cell differentiation, apoptosis, immune response and regulation of K(+) channels.
