MA1-21239 detects Sodium Iodide Symporter in human samples.
MA1-21239 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western blot procedures. Boil tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room termperature for 20 minutes. Predicted molecular weight of 97 kDa. Positive control of thyroid lysate is recommended.
The MA1-21239 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues W(625) T P C V G H D G G R D Q Q E T N L(643) of human Sodium Iodide Symporter.
Human Sodium Iodide Symporter (hNIS) is responsible for iodide concentrating ability within thyroid follicular cells. It is a membrane bound glycoprotein with 13 membrane spanning domains and 14 extramembranous domains. It may represent an autoantigen in thyroid.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
Low expression of sodium iodide symporter expression in aggressive variants of papillary thyroid carcinoma.
MA1-21239 was used in immunohistochemistry to study the immunohistochemical expression of the sodium iodide transporter in aggressive papilliary thyroid carcinoma and the therapeutic implications
