MA1-10866 detects mouse sperm protein sp56 from mouse and hamster samples. MA1-10866 does not cross-react with human sperm.
MA1-10866 has been successfully used in ELISA, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry applications. MA1-18066 will react with denatured, non-reduced sp56 but not with denatured, reduced sp56.
The MA1-10866 immunogen is a mixture of native and formaldehyde-zinc fixed mouse sperm purified through a Percoll gradient.

Targeted disruption of glycogen synthase kinase 3A (GSK3A) in mice affects sperm motility resulting in male infertility.
MA1-10866 was used in immunocytochemistry to determine the role of Gsk3a in male fertility using KO mice
