Immunoprecipitation analysis using Anti-TDRD3 Recombinant Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (Cat. no. 730004) followed by Western Blot detection. Immunoprecipitation was performed on HEK293 cells over expressing flag-tagged TDRD3 protein. Western blot using an anti-flag antibody was performed on the raw lysate (lane 1) and immunoprecipitated protein (lane 2) to evaluate the results of Immunoprecipitation.

TDRD3 belongs to the tudor domain group of proteins, which are prevalent among proteins involved in RNA metabolism. TDRD3 is widely expressed and localizes predominantly in the cytoplasm. It is detected in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas. Overexpression of TDRD3 in cells induces the formation of stress granules. Multiple isoforms of TDRD3 exist due to alternative splicing varients. In humans, the gene is located on chromosome 13.
