PA1-18257 detects Ubiquitin from human, rat, bovine, and ovine samples.
PA1-18257 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin and frozen) and Western blot procedures.
The PA1-18257 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues H(48) V F L V S C A L P D S V(60) of human ubiquitin, conjugated to Blue Carrier Protein. The sequence is 100% conserved in bovine, mouse and rat.
After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20°C for a higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Reconstitute with 100 ul of distilled water.
AUP1 contains a domain with homology to the ancient conserved region of the archain 1 gene and a domain thay may be involved in binding ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes. The unprocessed precusor is of 476 amino acids in length and has an estimated molecular weight of 53 kDa.
