beta Amyloid (1-42) Antibody in ELISA (ELISA) — Indirect ELISA analysis was performed by coating plate with 100 µL of beta Amyloid (1-42) peptide aggregate at concentration of 10 µg/mL. The coated protein is detected with beta Amyloid (1-42) Monoclonal Antibody (GT622) (Product # MA5-36246) at concentrations ranging from 3.06 to 2230 ng/mL. Mouse IgG antibody (HRP) was diluted at 1:2,000 and used to detect the primary antibody.

beta Amyloid (1-42) Antibody in Dot blot (DB) — Dot blot analysis of 100 ng beta Amyloid 1-42 oligomers or monomers, using beta Amyloid (1-42) Antibody (Product # MA5-36246) at 1:10,000, 1:20000, 1:40000, and 1:80000 dilution.

Target Information

Beta amyloid is a 40–43 amino acid peptide cleaved from amyloid precursor protein by a protease, gamma-secretase. Beta Amyloid (1-40) (Amyloid beta 40 or Abeta 40) together with beta Amyloid (1-42) (Amyloid beta 42 or Abeta 42) are two major C-terminal variants of the amyloid beta protein, constituting the majority of amyloid beta proteins. Both the Amyloid beta 40 and Amyloid beta 42 alloforms are major components of the extracellular plaques found in Alzheimer's disease brain tissue.
