PA1-29042 detects c-Met from human samples.
PA1-29042 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue) applications. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol. Boil tissues in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. Suggested positive controls for this product are A431 cells, human breast carcinoma and human ovarian carcinoma.

The proto-oncogene MET product is the hepatocyte growth factor receptor and encodes tyrosine-kinase activity. The primary single chain precursor protein is post-translationally cleaved to produce the alpha and beta subunits, which are disulfide linked to form the mature receptor. Various mutations in the MET gene are associated with papillary renal carcinoma. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
