Add 0.2 mL of distilled water, will yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
CDKN1C(Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1C) also called p57(KIP2) or KIP2, isa protein which in humans is encoded by theCDKN1Cimprintedgene. TheCDKN1Cgene encodes p57(KIP2), a potent tight-binding inhibitor of several G1 cyclin/Cdk complexes and a negative regulator of cell proliferation. TheCDKN1Cgene is paternally imprinted, with preferential expression of the maternal allele. Matsuoka et al. (1995)demonstrated that theCDKN1C gene is located on chromosome 11p15.5, a region implicated in both sporadic cancers and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, a familial cancer syndrome, making it a tumor suppressor candidate. TheCDKN1Cgene contains 3 exons. Mutations of CDKN1C are implicated in sporadic cancers andBeckwith-Wiedemann syndromesuggesting that it is a tumor suppressor candidate.Diaz-Meyer et al. (2005)concluded thatCDKN1Cmay be downregulated by multiple mechanisms including some that do not involve promoter methylation.
