Accelerating Innovation in Analytical Approaches

Tuesday, August 23, 12:30 p.m.–3:00 p.m. Room 304, Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Topic 1

Ion Chromatography (IC): Overview and Application 12:30–1:30 p.m.

With 40 years of continuous innovation, IC delivers consistent, reliable, high-quality results from matrices ranging from wastewater to fruit juices. Discover refinements including column chemistry, electrolytically regenerated suppression, just-add-water reagent generation, high-pressure IC (HPIC), and consumables device monitoring. A range of applications will highlight the breadth of samples that can be analyzed and the advantages of IC as an analytical technique.

Topic 2

Deliver Quality ICP-MS Results with Advanced Simplicity and Unmatched Productivity, 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Reliable assessments of environmental pollution, pharmaceutical compliance and food quality require accurate elemental analysis at ultra-trace levels in a variety of matrices. Experience the ease with which these application demands are met when using the comprehensive interference removal, advanced automation, simple method development and complete data management features of the Thermo Scientific™ iCAP™ RQ ICP-MS.

Topic 3

IC and ICP-MS: A Unique and Robust Approach to Speciation 2:30–3:00 p.m.

Speciation analysis provides information on the chemical form (species) of elements of interest. Being able to determine total element concentrations and subsequently their species is critical in food, environmental and pharmaceutical investigations. It allows us to understand the potentially toxic nature of elements such as inorganic arsenic, methyl-mercury and chromium VI. Speciation analysis is fast becoming an essential discipline in health-related applications and global legislations. Is your lab keeping up?
