Learn about the capability of our new cell culture media system to deliver improved productivity with strong product quality for CHO cells. In this application note, 14-day fed-batch microbioreactor studies were conducted. CHO-K1 and CHO-S cell lines producing IgG were cultured with the Gibco Efficient-Pro System and another supplier's commercially available medium and two-part feed system. The resulting cell growth, viability, productivity, and product quality attributes including aggregation and fragmentation, charge variants, and N-glycan profiles were evaluated and compared between the two media and feed systems.
Learn about how an animal origin-free (AOF) peptone can increase the titer of CHO cells compared to traditional feed design. In this case study, a basal medium and feeds were developed for a CHO GS cell line after traditional spent media analyses. Following development, a variety of peptones including Gibco Difco TC Yeastolate UF were tested in the basal medium and as feed supplements to improve performance. Process development work was also done to optimize productivity and confirm results in a bench-scale bioreactor platform.
Explore our innovative perfusion medium, which is formulated to provide exceptional performance and ease of use in various perfusion processes. In this white paper, AGT (Advanced Granulation Technology) format medium was mixed in a 5,000 L Single-Use Mixer, which is a significant boon for high volume medium preparation, as it wets and goes into solution quickly and easily. Studies of perfusion culture using the Gibco High-Intensity Perfusion (HIP) CHO Medium on IgG-producing CHO cells were performed in the 3 L glass bioreactor and 50 L single use bioreactor. Titer, viability, and viable cell volume (VCV) were evaluated.
