BAC Customer FAQs
Effective May 20, 2013 purchase orders should be addressed to Life Technologies or its local affiliate and no longer to BAC BV.
Please check with your institution’s procurement representative to ensure Life Technologies or its local affiliate is set up as a vendor at your institution well in advance of May 20, so orders can be processed efficiently. Please refer to Life Technologiesvendor setup information for country-specific detail.
No, purchase orders addressed to BAC BV received on or after May 20, 2013 will need to be reissued to Life Technologies or its local affiliate for your order to be processed.
Orders received prior to May 20 will be processed and invoiced by BAC BV.
BAC BV orders will be subject to your institution’s Life Technologies shipping and handling charges.
There will be no change to the BAC BV products you ordered previously. You will notice a brand and packaging change as products transition to Life Technologies. Documents such as manuals and MSDS will be reformatted to Life Technologies format and will be made available through Life Technologies Technical Resources section of our website (hard copies will no longer be provided with shipments).
For the majority of the products, the product names and part numbers will remain the same, however you will see a different format, which no longer includes dots (example: 191.3070.05 will become 191307005).
Catalog numbers for the following products have a new 3-digit prefix:
|New catalog number||BAC catalog number|
