As researchers advance their understanding of structures at the micro-scale, they need leading-edge tools that enable them to capture the highest quality electron microscopy images. They also require best-in-class visualization and analysis tools that allow them to obtain highly accurate data. In short, they need insights they can trust.
At Microscopy and Microanalysis 2019 (M&M 2019) next week in Portland, Oregon, we’re excited to showcase our amazing array of solutions designed to help you do just that. From our comprehensive portfolios of scanning electron microscopes (SEMs) and transmission electron microscopes (TEMs) to our cutting-edge software suites, our goal is to help you tackle your most challenging research problems. We do this by delivering high-resolution imaging and analysis tools to help you perform chemical, elemental, mechanical and electrical analyses at the precise scales you need.
Visitors at M&M 2019 are invited to stop by the Thermo Fisher Scientific booth to see the company’s cutting-edge solutions that are leading to advances in a wide range of industries.
At this year’s M&M, we will hold a wide variety of live demos and in-booth presentations that showcase our leading-edge solutions. We’re also hosting a customer appreciation reception as well as our annual Women in Microscopy breakfast. Look forward to a week of exciting events:
- Live demos: We will present eight live demos that drill down into products ranging from our new Prisma E SEM with ColorSEM technology to our Amira and Avizo software and our Phenom desktop SEMs. Other demos will showcase the Helios PFIB G4 DualBeam and our new high-end TEM platform. Review the full list of live demos and register here.
- In-booth presentations: Visitors to our booth will have the opportunity to participate in more than 20 in-booth presentations on a variety of cutting-edge topics. Numerous themes will be covered, including everything from new solutions for cryo-EM, cryo-tomography and single particle analysis to leading-edge techniques for sample preparation and high-volume materials analysis, to name a few. View the complete list of presentations.
- Customer appreciation reception: On Monday, August 5th, we’ll be celebrating you, our customers, with a customer appreciation reception. Please join us for an evening of food, craft beer, local wine, a live karaoke band, and industry friends from 6-10 pm at Ankeny Plaza in Portland’s North Waterfront Park. Your RSVP is requested. Reserve your spot.
- Women in Microscopy breakfast: Last but not least, we’ll be hosting our annual Women in Microscopy breakfast on Wednesday, August 7th from 7-9 am at Hotel Eastlund. This year’s guest speaker is Dr. Tommi White, Director of the Electron Microscopy Core at the University of Missouri, who will discuss her career and share her story of the trials and tribulations as a woman in science. Learn more.
Stay tuned for exciting announcements throughout the week. We’ll be unveiling several new solutions, one of which will help speed the path to disease understanding and drug discovery, and another that will make it even easier to characterize structures at the atomic level. We’re also introducing a new way to help you quickly extra data from your electron microscopy images.
Be sure to stop by booth #1038 to see our latest groundbreaking innovations—all designed to help you trust your insight. We look forward to an inspiring and informative week.
