Retired Police Chief Joey Reynolds and Inspector Tim Hardiman (NYPD Ret.) shared their perspectives on the power of rapid DNA technology in a recent article in FBINAA Associate Magazine. The article focuses on how the new technology is saving time and lives by providing DNA results earlier in an investigation process and helping solve crimes faster.
“Although Rapid DNA has been around for several years, the technology has recently advanced to the point where its cost-effectiveness and ease of use make it a ‘must have’ for law enforcement agencies,” the article states.
Every minute that a crime remains unsolved is time for someone else to become a victim. Imagine what can happen when DNA testing takes only minutes, instead of days, weeks, or even months. Safer communities are within reach.
