To enable this work, leaders in the field are partnering with us to design next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays that target critical questions in cancer research and tumor biology.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.i3s.up.pt\/research-groups\/cancer\/genetic-dynamics-cancer-cells\/person\/jose-luis-costa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Professor Jos\u00e9 Luis Costa<\/a><\/strong>, PhD,\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">i3S\/IPATIMUP<\/span>, is leading efforts to use cell-free DNA (cfDNA) to detect rare mutations in lung cancer research blood samples.
