Making our instruments easier to use and integrated within the lab environment allows the transformation of data into knowledge and plays a significant role in helping move science forward.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>CDS in the Cloud<\/h2>\n<p>Many customers are looking to leverage cloud capabilities to streamline their IT operations.\u00a0 As one of the most pervasive analytical techniques, chromatography is used across almost every industry and can be found in almost every lab.\u00a0 At Pittcon this year, it was announced that Thermo Scientific<sup>TM <\/sup>Chromeleon CDS<sup>TM<\/sup> can be deployed in the cloud.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thermofisher.com\/us\/en\/home\/industrial\/chromatography\/chromatography-data-systems-cds.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIu73q7vHf2QIVlUwNCh28oAH3EAAYASAAEgJ01vD_BwE&amp;ce=E.18CMD.DL108.12014.01&amp;cid=E.18CMD.DL108.12014.01&amp;s_kwcid=AL!3652!3!251250057068!e!!g!!thermo%20fisher%20chromeleon&amp;ef_id=Wm9xmwAAAMCvClHa:20180309183949:s\">Chromeleon CDS<\/a> supports chromatography instruments from 15 vendors and routine quantitative MS analysis, providing full integration of Thermo Scientific gas chromatography (GC)-MS\/MS and liquid chromatography (LC)-MS\/MS instruments.\u00a0 Given the prevalence of this technique, moving CDS into the cloud will be transformative for many laboratories.<\/p>\n<h2>Spectroscopy in the Cloud<\/h2>\n<p>Thermo Scientific FTIR instrumentation now includes the innovative\u00a0Thermo Scientific<sup>TM \u00a0<\/sup>OMNIC Anywhere<sup>TM<\/sup>\u00a0software. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thermofisher.com\/us\/en\/home\/industrial\/spectroscopy-elemental-isotope-analysis\/molecular-spectroscopy\/fourier-transform-infrared-ftir-spectroscopy\/cloud-enabled-ftir-spectroscopy.html\">OMNIC\u00a0Anywhere\u00a0<\/a>is a cloud-based software for molecular spectroscopy applications that enables customers to store, share and interpret spectral data across multiple labs on Windows and Apple computing platforms. Designed for use on Thermo Scientific spectrometers, the OMNIC Anywhere app provides researchers, lab technicians, educators and students with remote access to data. OMNIC Anywhere is the newest in a growing number of applications powered by the Thermo Fisher Cloud that help instrument users collect, monitor, and analyze, share and store data in a secure environment for a growing number of applications.<\/p>\n<h2>Data Management in the Cloud<\/h2>\n<p>Of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thermofisher.com\/uk\/en\/home\/digital-solutions\/lab-informatics.html\">Thermo Fisher\u2122 Platform for Science\u2122 software<\/a> is a cloud native solution and has been in the cloud since 2008.\u00a0 Platform for Science software provides the underlying data management infrastructure for lab workflows, allowing end-to-end sample and specimen tracking across experiments, assays, and processes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thermofisher.com\/uk\/en\/home\/digital-solutions\/lab-informatics\/lab-information-management-systems-lims\/solutions\/core.html\">Thermo Scientific\u2122 Core LIMS\u2122<\/a>, Core ELN\u2122, and Core SDMS\u2122 software as well as its communication product, Thermo Scientific\u2122 Core Connect\u2122 software run on the platform.
