Ericka graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of West Alabama and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology from Penn State. She began her career as an R&D Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2022 where she focused on developing kits and reagents for nucleic acid isolation. Ericka has helped to develop and launch several products including TaqMan™ Cells-to-CT™ Express Kit and the MagMAX™ HMW DNA Kit. Her primary goals at work are to ask questions and solve problems. While Ericka enjoys her role as a scientist, her greatest fulfillment comes from being a wife and mom!
Kelvekar, Juili
Juili completed her graduate work in Medical Pathology at the University of Mumbai, India. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a R&D scientist and has been involved in variety of clinical and RUO projects including nucleic acid extraction applications, primarily focusing on infectious disease. She is actively involved in oncology applications to support the NGS platform.
Bhandari, Jay
Jay started his research career studying post-translational modification and its role in abiotic stress signaling mechanisms. He followed his research interest in cancer biology and investigated the chromosome repair mechanisms that cells use to escape the normal limits of growth when faced with unrepairable DNA damage and was involved in studying biochemical pathways for measuring levels of R-loops and nucleic acid unwinding mechanisms. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, Jay is applying several sample preparation reagents and instruments for a variety of applications to enable our customers and provide better life science solutions.
Manley, Lillie
Lillie graduated with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2015 as a Manufacturing Scientist with a focus on molecular biology reagents for PCR, sequencing, and nucleic acid extraction. She transitioned into R&D in herd and crop health focusing on sample preparation, assay development for pathogen detection, and sequencing. Currently, she is an Application Scientist in R&D developing workflow solutions from sample preparation to downstream analysis.
