Join us!

Please join us on Tuesday, November 28th for an evening reception at 2017 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit on Analytical Tools for Advanced Materials. The reception will feature two 20-minute presentations by guest speakers.

Chemistry of EUV Resist Materials as Revealed by XPS and EELS

6:00 p.m. - Dr. Robert Bartynski, Electron-based spectroscopies, Department of Physics & Astronomy and Laboratory for Surface Modification, Rutgers University

Robert Bartynski received a B.S from Cornell University in 1980, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. In that year, Bartynski joined the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Rutgers University as an Assistant Professor, became Associate Professor in 1992, Full Professor in 1998, and is currently Chair of the Department. He is a Fellow of the APS, the AAAS, and the AVS. His research focuses on experimental studies of the electronic, geometric and chemical properties of surfaces, interfaces, thin films, and nanostructures, primarily employing electron spectroscopic techniques and scanning probe microscopy.

Harvesting, Recycling and Conservation of Energy

6:30 p.m. - Dr. Sanjeev Mukerjee, Center for Renewable Energy, Northeastern University

Dr. Sanjeev Mukerjee earned a PhD from Texas A&M University before landing at Northeastern University as a Professor at the Center for Renewable Energy Technology. His research group focuses on an interdisciplinary approach spanning multiple areas including electrochemistry of electrode materials for electrochemical energy conversion and storage.
