A robust enclosure delivers high stability, with a widened sample loading area and transfer deck to support tools and holder loading stations during user interactions with the TEM. Color LEDs convey system status and provide a working light for sample exchanges in dark rooms. Light animations direct users to insert holders properly and provide alerts for low liquid nitrogen levels or other system issues.

Smaller than previous generations, the Talos 12 TEM is now suitable for a wider range of researchers in more core labs and imaging facilities.

Ceta CMOS cameras deliver high contrast and fast speeds

Fully integrated and embedded into the design of the Talos 12 TEM, Thermo Scientific Ceta Cameras provide stability alongside optimized detector performance. These cameras offer a sensitive and robust fiber-optic-coupled scintillator as well as a large field of view and high speed. This provides the speed and high-contrast visualization necessary to quickly scan and find regions of interest.

User-friendly software with easy and intuitive large-area imaging

The Talos 12 TEM is equipped with Thermo Scientific Velox Software, a workflow-based user interface ideal for both novice and expert TEM and STEM users alike. 

 

Thermo Scientific Maps 3 Software is an add-on for the Talos 12 TEM that facilitates automated data collection for large-area imaging. Navigating the sample is easy and intuitive, even for new users.

Remote operation and powerful system management

The Talos 12 TEM’s digitally controlled hardware components allow remote operation. Integrated cameras and software provide flexible operation and collaboration, regardless of location. 

 

Automated batch acquisition workflows and a long-duration dewar for long imaging sessions allow extended, unattended data collection sessions.


Streamline data collection with Talos 12 TEM and integrated Maps 3 Software

Fully integrated and embedded into the design of the Talos 12 TEM, Ceta CMOS Cameras provide the speed and high-contrast visualization necessary for seamless, live visualization during sample navigation. 

 

Once a region of interest is identified, adjust magnification as needed to easily capture structures of interest. Maps 3 Software can be used for unattended batch acquisition of multiple tile sets, generating high-resolution, multi-scale imaging of intracellular organelles and structures. Navigation and batch acquisition of samples is easy and intuitive, even for new users.
