The Human FLT-3Ligand (Hu Flt-3L) ELISA quantitates Hu Flt-3L in human serum, plasma, or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Hu Flt-3L.
Principle of the method
The Human Flt-3L solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen.
FLT3LG (Fms Related Tyrosine Kinase 3 Ligand) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with FLT3LG include Aplastic Anemia and Brain Cancer. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers and Ras signaling pathway. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include protein homodimerization activity and cytokine activity. Dendritic cells (DCs) provide the key link between innate and adaptive immunity by recognizing pathogens and priming pathogen-specific immune responses. FLT3LG controls the development of DCs and is particularly important for plasmacytoid DCs and CD8-positive classical DCs and their CD103-positive tissue counterparts.
Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. See manual for more information on validation.
