Click-iT® Plus TUNEL assay detects apoptotic cells & multiplexes with GFP and phalloidin in FFPE kidney and intestine tissue

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) mouse kidney and intestine was treated with DNase to fragment the DNA. After treatment, the Click-iT® Plus TUNEL assay with Alexa Fluor® 647 dye (purple) was used to detect the fragmented DNA. After the TUNEL reaction, actin was stained with ActinRed™ 555 ReadyProbes® Reagent (red). The cells were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue). The GFP expressing epithelial cells are clearly visible (green).
