On 26 January, 2015, customers in the US, Canada, and Europe began ordering select Thermo Scientific life science products via Life Technologies product channels, including online (at lifetechnologies.com), via Life Technologies eProcurement (B2B) solutions and Supply Centres(where available), and via local Life Technologies legal entities.

A small number of life science products received new catalog numbers. In these instances, impacted customers were notified of any changes to catalog numbers.
We do not expect any change in shipping times. Our top priority is to fulfill our customers’ expectations for our products and services and to minimize any disruption from this transition.
Simply place your orders for these Thermo Scientific life science products as you do for Life Technologies products: through our website at lifetechnologies.com, our Customer Care team, or your onsite Supply Centre, eCatalog or punchout. Your existing Life Technologies account and its terms and conditions apply.
You can set up a Life Technologies account when you place your first order via lifetechnologies.com or through our Customer Care team.

There were no changes to your ordering processes until 26 January. Current Thermo Fisher Scientific legal entities continued to accept orders through Friday, January 23. All open orders placed on or before January 23 were or will be fulfilled by Thermo Fisher Scientific legal entities. These orders will be monitored and serviced through the Thermo Fisher Scientific sites.
Continued assurance of supply is our priority. Orders placed before 26 January, but scheduled to ship after that date, will be shipped to you under the current Thermo Fisher Scientific legal entity. The invoice will reflect that same legal entity.
Purchase orders submitted on or after 26 January must be placed with the appropriate Life Technologies legal entity. If you do submit an order to the former legal entity, our Customer Care team will contact you to request that the PO be resubmitted to reflect the new, proper legal entity, which may cause a delay in order fulfillment.

If you have a business relationship with any other Thermo Fisher Scientific entities, Fisher Scientific or other authorized distribution partners, this change does not affect how you transact business with these entities.
Thermo Scientific products and services that are available today through the Fisher Scientific channel will continue to be available through Fisher Scientific.

Our commercial documents, like invoices, quotes and shipping confirmations, will have a new look that prominently displays the legal entity name in the top right corner. You may also see new, Thermo Fisher Scientific shipper boxes, featuring all of the company’s premier brands.
This change in legal entity and ordering processes does not affect published pricing, previously established price quotes or booked orders for the affected Thermo Scientific products. Please continue to work from the current published price list and/or your existing contract/issued quote price unless notified otherwise. Please note: If you have a business relationship with any other Thermo Fisher Scientific entity or one of our authorized distribution partners, this change does not affect how you transact business with these entities.
Our Thermo Fisher Scientific and Life Technologies entities calculate freight charges differently. The freight terms and conditions of your Life Technologies new or existing account apply to all orders placed on or after 26 January, 2015. View Life Technologies terms and conditions.
If you are a current Life Technologies customer, the tax status on your existing Life Technologies account(s) will apply to all purchases on that account. If you are not currently a Life Technologies customer, please communicate any special tax situations to the Customer Care representative when you set up your account.
The pricing that has been applied to your account as of 1 January, 2015 is available through the Life Technologies channel unless otherwise advised. Please contact your Life Sciences Solutions account manager if you have any questions regarding pricing.
If you currently have a Life Technologies account, then your existing Life Technologies terms and conditions continue to apply. If you are not currently a Life Technologies customer, be sure to take the actions outlined in the answer to question #5 above as soon as possible to prevent delays in order processing and delivery of your life science products. Please contact your Life Sciences Solutions account manager if you have any questions regarding freight charges.
If you are a current Life Technologies customer, the tax status on your existing Life Technologies account(s) applies to all purchases on that account. If you are not currently a Life Technologies customer, please communicate any special tax situations to the Customer Care representative when you set up your account.
Any existing Thermo Fisher tax exemptions do not apply to Life Technologies accounts. If you are not currently a Life Technologies customer, you must first create your Life Technologies account. After creating your Life Technologies account, customers in EMEA should contact Customer Care for assistance.
Over time, we will work with you to transition your Thermo Scientific OSP to a current or new Supply Centre by Thermo Fisher Scientific that includes stocking of both Life Technologies and many Thermo Scientific products. Starting 26 January, all orders for your OSP should be placed through Life Technologies legal entities. An eSolutions representative contacted customers in North America and Europe prior to 26 January.
If you haven’t already, be sure to set up Life Technologies as a vendor in your system, if you do not currently do business with Life Technologies. You’ll find legal entity names, tax ID number and other necessary information on our vendor setup page.
Select Thermo Scientific molecular and protein biology products became available for stocking in Life Technologies Supply Centre locations on 26 January, 2015. Supply Centre customers also received additional information.
If you have a Thermo Scientific (Pierce Biotech) eCatalog, your Thermo Scientific products transitioned into your current Life Technologies eCatalog or punchout on 26 January, 2015. Once these products become available through your Life Technologies eCatalog or punchout, we ask that you remove your Thermo Scientific eCatalog. Please contact our B2B Team if you have questions about your transition.
If you have a hosted eCatalog with Life Technologies, you should have received the 2015 Life Technologies catalog as usual in December, with prices effective 1 January, 2015. You should also have received another catalog containing an additional 42,000 Thermo Scientific life science SKUs that were be combined into your Life Technologies eCatalog for activation on 26 January, 2015.
If you currently have a punchout connection to Life Technologies, your Thermo Scientific life science products became available through your punchout connection to Life Technologies on 26 January, 2015.
