          Improve Your Ability to Detect and Analyze Polar Pesticides using IC‑MS/MS

          Polar ionic pesticides such as, glyphosate, AMPA, glufosinate,  chlormequat, diquat, mepiquat, paraquat, and propamocarb may occur as residues in food, but may not be included in pesticide monitoring programs because they are difficult to analyze using generic multi-residue methods. Recent advances using the Quick Polar Pesticides (QuPPe) method combined with IC-MS/MS have successfully demonstrated the applicability of this method for the analysis of anionic and cationic polar pesticides. 

          In this webinar, John Madden and Jonathan Beck demonstrate the analysis of both cationic and anionic polar pesticides using IC-MS/MS.

          Dr. John Madden, Staff Scientist, Cation IC Column Development

          Dr. John Madden is a Staff Scientist in the IC/SP business unit at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Sunnyvale, California. He is an analytical chemist with more than 20 years' experience in the field of ion chromatography. John develops new and innovative chemistries for the analysis of cations, primarily new cation exchange stationary phases in the Thermo Scientific Dionex IonPac column line. He also researches new methods for the analysis of cations by IC and IC-MS.

          Dr. Jonathan Beck is a Senior Marketing Specialist for Environmental and Food Safety for Thermo Fisher Scientific. His work focuses on IC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS solutions for environmental food and safety laboratories worldwide. For the past three years he has focused on IC-MS applications and coupling Thermo Scientific Dionex ion chromatography products with Thermo Scientific mass spectrometers.
