Integrate capillary electrophoresis (CE) and electrospray ionization (ESI) into a single microfluidic device to rapidly prepare, separate, and electrospray biological samples directly into a mass spectrometer (MS). The portable size ZipChip Interface directly mounts onto select models of Thermo Scientific™ mass spectrometers, and creates a seamless CE/ESI-MS workflow that offers fast CE separation, nano-spray level sensitivity, and HRAM spectrometry for the characterization of intact proteins, antibody drug conjugates, antibody subunits, peptides, and metabolites.

Use the ZipChip Interface with Thermo Scientific™ Q Exactive™, Exactive™, Orbitrap Elite™, and LTQ Orbitrap XL™ mass spectrometers.

ZipChip autosampler*

Inject samples from vials or 96 well plates and achieve unattended 3-minute sample runs using the ZipChip Autosampler with the ZipChip Interface.

Choice of chips*
  • ZipChip HS has a shorter separation channel with the shortest run times, and can be used for small molecule, peptides, metabolites, and simple samples.
  • ZipChip HR has a longer separation channel for run times that are a little longer. The HR chip can be used for analysis of intact proteins, ADCs, antibody sub-units, complex samples, and when better resolution is required.
Assay kits*

Assay kits contain background electrolyte and sample diluent. They are convenient and reduce risk of error. Three assay kits are available:

  • Intact Protein Assay Kit
  • Peptide Mapping Assay Kit
  • Metabolite Assay Kit
