Use newer Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IonPac™ CS12A columns instead of Dionex IonPac CS3 Analytical & Guard Cation-Exchange Columns. Dionex IonPac CS3 columns are only available only in limited quantities for customers who have established validated methods using this column. The Dionex IonPac CS12A column separates common cations in as little as four minutes using methanesulfonic acid (MSA) or sulfuric acid eluents. These medium-capacity, carboxylate-functionalized, cation-exchange columns are recommended for fast, isocratic separation of lithium, sodium, ammonium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium in diverse sample matrices.
