6.0N HClsolution acts as a standard solution in volumetric titrations. In addition, it has industrial applications such as chemical transformations in hydrochlorination of rubber and production of vinyl and alkyl halide. In the semiconductor industry, it is used to etch semiconductor crystal and to purify silicon.
