Use Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IonPac™ CP Cation Polisher Columns (CP1 Na+, CP2 H+) when analyzing anions in matrices that contain high levels of multivalent cations to reduce deposition of contaminants. Metals and other cations can precipitate on guard and analytical columns or suppressors, which can lead to performance issues such as poor peak shapes or poor recoveries for some anions. Well suited for phosphate analysis with metallic contaminants, these columns extend column and suppressor lifetimes.

They prevent high levels of metals or cations in samples from collecting on columns or suppressors, which can cause performance issues such as poor peak shapes or anion recoveries.

Dionex IonPac CP1 Na+ Form Cation Polisher Column for Anion Analysis

The Dionex IonPac CP1 Na+ Form column is a cation-exchange column in the sodium form, packed in a low pressure format. It is specifically designed for autosampler operation.

  • One format, 6x16mm, for all applications
  • Void volume: ∼250µL
  • Column capacity: 170µeq
Dionex IonPac CP2-H+ Form Cation Polisher Column for Anion Analysis

The Dionex IonPac CP2 H+ column is a higher-capacity version of the Dionex IonPac CP1 Na+ column packed in the hydronium form. It is recommended for large volume sample preconcentration applications using an external pump.

  • One format, 9x24 mm, for all applications
  • Void volume: ∼825µL
  • Column capacity: 575µeq

Note: Both cation polisher columns can be regenerated off-line every 2 to 3 months, depending on the level of contamination and usage.
