Improve sensitivity and increase linearity range of your ion chromatography (IC) applications by removing carbonate from the suppressed eluent stream. The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ CRD 180, 200 and 300 Carbonate Removal Devices support the removal of carbonate by diffusion through the walls of a carbonate-selective, gas-permeable membrane. The Dionex CRD 300 was designed for use with carbonate eluent-based chemistries, while the Dionex CRD 180 and 200 were designed for use with hydroxide- and borate-based chemistries.

The Dionex CRD 180 and 200 device enhances IC signals by continuously removing carbon dioxide from the sample on any Dionex™ Reagent-Free™ IC (RFIC™) system using hydr[oxide eluent.
Dionex CRD 300 Carbonate Removal Device
- Designed for use with carbonate eluent-based chemistries using Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IC columns
- Removes carbonic acid from the suppressed carbonate eluent
- Provides a detection system that is similar to systems using hydroxide eluents
- Reduces the baseline for higher sensitivity
- Increases linearity range
- Available in two formats:
- Dionex CRD 300 (4mm) for standard bore systems
- Dionex CRD 300 (2mm) for microbore systems
Dionex CRD 180 and 200 Carbonate Removal Devices
The Dionex CRD 180 and 200 device enhances IC signals by continuously removing carbon dioxide from the sample on any Dionex™ Reagent-Free™ IC (RFIC™) system using hydr[oxide eluent.
- Designed for use with hydroxide- and borate-based chemistries using Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IC columns
- Removes the carbonate introduced from samples with high levels of dissolved carbon dioxide
- Improves integration and quantitation of some analyte peaks that elute close to carbonate, such as such as sulfate
- Available in several formats:
- Dionex CRD 200 (4mm) for standard bore systems, including standard bore columns packed with 4μm resin
- Dionex CRD 200 (2mm) for microbore systems, including microbore columns packed with 4μm resin
- Dionex CRD 200 (Capillary) for capillary-scale systems (0.4mm columns) using flow rates of 5–30μL/min
- Dionex CRD 180 (Capillary) is a version of the Dionex CRD 200 that has reduced internal volume and supports carbonate removal from 0.25mm and 0.4mm capillary columns
