Bacto Beef Extract, desiccated, is an animal origin (AO) peptone derived from an infusion of beef. This nutritional supplement provides a mixture of peptides, individual amino acids, nucleotides, organic acids, minerals, and vitamins. Dried from beef extract paste, Bacto Beef Extract, desiccated, has a granular appearance and different nutritional profile than other beef extract products in our portfolio. Customers have used Bacto Beef Extract, desiccated, in a variety of microbial fermentation cell lines including Clostridium species, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pasteurella multocida, and Streptococcus species to produce numerous animal health vaccines.
