The VetMAX™-Gold SIV Detection Kit is the first and only USDA-licensed real-time PCR test for the rapid detection of SIV RNA purified from porcine nasal swab samples. This highly sensitive, qualitative, one-step assay delivers accurate results within 1.5 hours. The VetMAX™-Gold SIV Detection assay is a single-tube (or well) real-time RT-PCR assay in which SIV and Xeno™ internal positive control RNA is reverse transcribed into cDNA, then amplified and detected in real time using fluorescent TaqMan™ probes.

The VetMAX™-Gold SIV Detection Kit utilizes AmpliTaq Gold™ DNA Polymerase and optimized primers and TaqMan™ probes for maximum sensitivity and specificity. Additionally, the included Xeno™ RNA internal positive control enables monitoring of RNA purification efficiency and PCR inhibition, allowing for increased accuracy.

Designed to fit within a simple streamlined workflow, the VetMAX™-Gold SIV Detection Kit is optimized to perform with the MagMAX™ Pathogen RNA/DNA Kit and the Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Fast Real-Time PCR Systems.
