Recommended Use

The increased sensitivity of variable wavelength detectors make them an excellent choice for applications involving trace analytes. Their wide dynamic range also makes them especially suited for pharmaceutical applications involving multiple compounds at very different concentrations.

The four-channel UltiMate 3000 RS Variable Wavelength Detector VWD-3400RS is ideal for research and more complex methods involving analytes with different absorption maxima. For conventional LC applications, this detector allows data acquisition from up to four UV-vis channels at up to 5Hz (up to 200Hz in single-channel mode).

The UltiMate 3000 Single Channel Variable Wavelength Detector VWD-3100 is ideal for routine methods such as quality control applications employing isocratic separations.

Features

  • Low noise (typically < ±2.5 µAU) and drift (< 0.1 mAU/h) ensure high sensitivity.
  • Linear range of up to 2.5 AU allows for the analysis of a wide range of analyte concentrations.
  • Easily adapts for applications from nanopreparative through to semi-preparative HPLC.
  • Data collection rates of up to 200Hz ensure detection of even the sharpest peaks.
  • Predictive performance technology continually monitors system performance to warn of impending errors, such as lamp failure.
  • Spectrum scanning functionality enables analyte characterization.

Monitor Gradients On Line

The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ UltiMate™ 3000 PCM-3000 pH and Conductivity Monitor is an upgrade for accurate pH and conductivity on-line monitoring with the VWD-3000 Series. This unit is typically used to monitor the gradient formation in salt- or pH-gradient-based ion-exchange chromatography (IEC) in biopharmaceutical analysis.

The PCM-3000 supports all modes of chromatography and provides verification of the elution conditions, the retention behavior of the sample, and the precision and repeatability of the instrumentation.
