Use this range of preconfigured, plug and play Thermo Scientific™ Liquid Sample Introduction Kits for increased flexibility to analyze a wide variety of sample matrices with the Thermo Scientific™ iCAP™ 7000 Series ICP-OES system. Optional, dedicated kits available for high solid content, organic, volatile organic and hydrofluoric acid (HF) containing samples; precise, accurate sample delivery is guaranteed every time.
Increase Flexibility with Sample Introduction Kits

Aqueous

Supplied as standard with all iCAP 7000 Series ICP-OES models, this aqueous sample introduction kit is ideal for liquid sample solutions containing relatively low acid content (except for hydrofluoric acid (HF)) or up to 3% m/v dissolved solids.

The concentric glass nebulizer within this kit is not suitable for solutions containing large suspended particles due to the risk of blockage.

High Solids

In samples such as sea waters, brines and ground waters, geochemical samples and fusion mixtures, with solid particles in suspension (up to 20% m/v dissolved solids), the high solids kit is necessary to prevent blockage problems. Used in conjunction with an argon humidifier, the kit enables extended analysis times without drift.

Organic

Recommended introduction kit for samples containing relatively nonvolatile, organic solvents, such as xylene, toluene, white spirit and kerosene. These solvents are most likely to be used as diluents for lubricating oils analysis, including additive compounds in virgin oil and wear metals in used oil.

Volatile Organic

Volatile organic solvents, such as alcohols, gasolines and naphthas are often found in petrochemical analysis, both for by-products such as plastics and for petrol itself. The volatile organics sample handling kit is recommended to provide the optimum configuration for analysis by reducing the plasma solvent load.

HF

Un-complexed hydrofluoric acid (HF) is typically obtained during the analysis of geological samples, soils, sediments, ceramics, bricks and cement, together with some types of high temperature alloys. The HF resistant sample handling kit is designed to handle such sample solutions.

Boost Performance with Precision Sample Introduction Kits

Just like our analyzers, our sample introduction kits are designed to maximize convenience, ease of use and precision.

  • All sample-introduction kits are plug and play and self-aligning for convenience in routine maintenance
  • Semi-demountable torch module simply clips into place and automatically interlocks with the system for gas-tight connections
  • Center tube is removable with the torch in situ, for dramatically reduced down time during maintenance and cleaning

Ordering Requirements

Peristaltic pump tubing must be ordered in addition to the sample introduction kits.
